Vajrapani (Chana Dorje) Statue | Copper with Mercury Gold Plating

     This statue of Chana Dorje was handcrafted by skilled craftsmen working with Lunzi Art. The statue is cast in a fine copper using the traditional lost wax method, then carefully hand-carved with intricate patterns, polished to a dazzling shine, and then finished with a meticulous mercury gold plating (also known as fire gilding), a traditional process.

      The statue’s face is a striking portrayal of wrathful compassion, with bulging eyes. A third eye on his forehead, symbolize his omniscient wisdom. The statue wears five-pointed crown. His hair is intricately carved, flowing upwards like flames, and he is seen with a serpent draped around his neck and chest. The statue holds a meticulously crafted vajra (thunderbolt scepter) in his right hand, a symbol of indestructible and brilliant wisdom. In his left hand, he holds a lasso, used to bind and subdue negative energies. This fiery aura represents the fierce energy of transformation symbolizes the burning away of ignorance, delusion, and negative karma. The statue stands in a powerful and dynamic warrior's stance (alidha stance), with one leg bent and the other slightly extended.
