Product Description
Crafted on fine cotton canvas using traditional thangka painting and encased in a vibrant silk brocade frame, this thangka embodies the fierce grace of Vajrayogini, the supreme female deity of Buddhism.
Vajrayogini is depicted in her classic form, naked and blazing red, symbolizing the fiery wisdom that burns away ignorance. She stands in a dynamic dancing posture within a flaming aura, holding a curved flaying knife (kartika) and a skull cup (kapala), sacred tools used to sever attachment and ego. A garland of skulls and bone ornaments represents impermanence and spiritual transcendence.
An ideal meditation aid for sacred spaces, inviting wisdom and transformation. The colors used in the thangka painting are sourced from minerals like lapis lazuli for blue, cinnabar for red, and malachite for green. These minerals are ground into fine powders and mixed with animal glue to form a vibrant medium.
