Shakyamuni Buddha: The Supreme Teacher and Light of Asia
This Shakyamuni Buddha statue was handcrafted by skilled craftsmen working with Lunzi Art. This Shakyamuni Buddha statue is made of refined copper and fully plated with 24k gold using the traditional lost wax method.
The Shakyamuni Buddha sits on a lotus pedestal in a meditative posture, representing spiritual purity and awakening. In the Bhumisparsha mudra, his right hand is extended downward, while in the Dhyana mudra, the left hand is placed on his lap, holding an alms bowl (patra) filled with nectar.
The expression on the Buddha's face is calm and introverted, with his eyes downcast and a subtle and serene smile. His monk's robes are gracefully draped over his body, with his right shoulder bare, and the lines are smooth, and the carving is exquisite. The tightly curled hair and prominent ushnisha, adorned with a small pinnacle, an exquisite five jewel crown the figure with traditional dignity.
This statue is not only a beautiful collectible art, but also a Dharma instrument (tool) to help practitioners advance.
