Product Description

This exquisite and highly refined Thangka depicts Chundi Bodhisattva, a profound manifestation of enlightened wisdom and compassionate activity within Buddhism. Revered as the “Mother of the Seventy Million Buddhas,” Chundi represents the generative source of awakening itself, the boundless potential from which all enlightened qualities arise. Her practice is associated with purification, protection, and the swift fulfillment of virtuous aspirations.

At the center, Chundi appears in a radiant white form, seated gracefully upon a lotus throne, symbolizing purity beyond all defilements. She is depicted with multiple arms, each extending outward in a harmonious mandala of enlightened activity. Every hand holds a sacred implement; such as a vajra, lotus, sword, mala, wheel, and ritual objects, representing her mastery of countless skillful means used to guide beings toward liberation. Her principal hands rest at her heart in Anjali Mudra, holding a wish-fulfilling jewel, expressing her vow to respond compassionately to all prayers.

Encircling the central figure of Chundi Bodhisattva is a harmonious celestial assembly of enlightened beings that completes the sacred mandala. At the top center sits the Five Dhyani Buddhas; Akshobhya (blue), Ratnasambhava (yellow), Amitabha (red), and Amoghasiddhi (green). At the lower corners, White Tara appears on the left, radiating longevity and maternal compassion, while Green Tara on the right embodies swift and fearless protection, together reinforcing the dynamic balance of wisdom, compassion, and enlightened activity present throughout the composition.

The entire composition is set against a luminous celestial blue background, richly adorned with floating clouds, floral motifs, and 24k gold detailing. The symmetrical arrangement and refined ornamentation reflect the precision of sacred geometry, inviting deep meditative focus. This Chundi Thangka is not only a rare and sophisticated work of sacred art but also a powerful spiritual support, believed to purify negative karma, remove obstacles, and swiftly bring about both worldly and spiritual accomplishments.

Natural Colors in Thangka

All the colors used in the thankgas are made from natural minerals. Ground into pigments, they carry the essence of the earth. Unlike artificial colors, these natural tones shine with honesty, adding depth, life, and spiritual meaning to each canvas.

Note: Some products may not be available immediately. We recommend consulting with our customer service team before making a purchase to confirm availability and details.

Thangka in Modern Spaces

In modern spaces, thangkas bring together tradition and contemporary design. Once used mainly in temples, these sacred artworks now enhance homes, offices, and galleries with their vibrant colors and deep symbolism. They create harmony, inspire reflection, and serve as meaningful focal points in today’s interiors.
